So She woke up from her daze And then She picked a 10-leaf clover From the girl-next-door's vast clover field And screamed aloud: "There's Magic in the air!" And there was Magic in the air Yet in her celebratory dance She snagged the buckle on her pants And down they fell infront of everyone And there was Magic in the air 'Cuz you could see her underwear Yes there was Magic in the air Sometimes these moments pass us by And never stop to say goodbye They sail upon the restless seas Of distant human memories And when there here we ask them if they'll stay "No, we're too busy driftin'" they say And they go driftin' away So He hopped aboard a fishing boat And sailed across the ocean 'Til the waves turned into images Of women singing songs about the sea Singing songs 'bout being free "Oh look!" he said, "A different creature I have never seen before, I think I'll call her mermaid And I'll tell her tale to sailors from the sea But he did not know in truth She Was nothing more than a little grey manatee! Sometimes these moments pass us by And never stop to say goodbye They sail upon the restless seas Of distant human memories And when there here we ask them if they'll stay "No, we're too busy driftin'" they say And they go driftin' away She cracks a smile now When She thinks about the times She had That badgered her when they first knew her Now She loves to see them when their here She holds them dear He laughs aloud now When he thinks about the fantasies That He thought were realities And how He told these truths to everyone Though it's now clear that He was wrong It does no harm to hold a cheer for memories gone So many moments pass us by And never stop to say goodbye They sail upon the restless seas Of distant human memories And when there here we ask them if they'll stay "No, we're too busy driftin'" they say And they go driftin' away

Well I don't need no alcoholic drink To tell you that I care To tell you that you're beautiful And compliment your hair You dance the tango with your life And That I so respect But I can only dance the mambo Like I did when we first met Together, however, The tango and mambo clash like this outfit And I try so much to dance your dance But I haven't got it yet Cause it's hard for guys like me to be So unconditionally witty I wear 2 different socks each day And try to write new ditties I try to sing real good for you But I can't, and it's a pity Cause deep inside me You inspire me Like the grandest city So I'm singing you this love song Where I jump into falsetto Cause I can't sing real high in my chest voice But I still love you And being with you lifts me up and makes me oh so high! You toss me up into the air Like Pizza Pie I touch the sky It's just the way you move your hips And eat your cereal That makes me feel so fond of you It's quite ethereal I open up a book to read You say "I love that book. And I would probably read it too If you knew how to cook!" And though this comment makes me out To be a common crook I try my best to make you laugh And you give me that look Cause it's hard for guys like me to be So unconditionally witty I wear 2 different socks each day And try to write new ditties I try to sing real good for you But I can't, and it's a pity Cause deep inside me You inspire me Like the grandest city So I'm singing you this love song Where I jump into falsetto Cause I can't sing real high in my chest voice But I still love you And being with you lifts me up and makes me oh so high! You toss me up into the air Like Pizza Pie I touch the sky Oh yes, and I will cook for you But I don't think you'll like it Cause when I try to cook for you It ends up tasting like shit And though I know if I spent more time On that, and not this song I'd learn to cook so very well And you would prove me wrong What can I do? I love you more Than anyone Has done before But I also love This music too And it's not for me It's all for you That's why I'm singing you this love song Where I jump into falsetto Cause I can't sing real high in my chest voice But I still love you And if I help around the house I know I'd make you high But I also know that if I cooked you Things like Pizza Pie They'd make you cry (I really am that bad...) And if I couldn't sing some more I think that I would be sad So please just let me sing some more And I promise I will try To cook Without a sigh

Well I'm not sure what happens next To tell the truth I'm kind of lost So many pathways lead astray from where I've sat To catch a falling maple leaf and stick it in my hat For I am strumming on the brick walls Of the well inside my soul Just trying to find an ancient rain song That will make the empty full I've got a pocket full of sticky notes And ten strikes on the wall And I know if I can Climb Then I can Fall My twisting, dark soliloquy drifts far And then collides inside A warm raindrop in my eye Guitar strings and friendship rings Are passing wonders in the Spring Goodbye, goodbye goodbye goodbye! Willamette waters wash me down And cleanse me of my broken crown For I have lent my brightest spark To fleeting mantras in the dark And longing cut your leather bounds Let fall the tethers to the ground I wake in calm without a sound To find I found myself in Eugenetown But what can I do? Nothing, nothing nothing! Nothing at all I am a piece lost in the pile Well we met Death down by the Bridge There's some blue ribbons in the fridge In searching blindly for some truth in the façade We fucked around a lot this year But alas, so did god My sweeping Ocean Mystery Swashbuckles bravely back at me Unbows my buckled knees Dirty ties and flirty highs What fair ephemeralities Can make me beg Please, Please please please please please please please? Willamette waters wash me down And cleanse me of my broken crown For I have lent my brightest spark To fleeting mantras in the dark And longing cut your leather bounds Let fall the tethers to the ground I wake in calm without a sound To find I found myself in Eugenetown To find I found myself in Eugenetown
